Henderson Land × CJ Hendry Flower Market

AIA Vitality Park, Central Harbourfront | 19–22 March 2026

Australian hyperrealist CJ Hendry has built a reputation for turning everyday objects into jaw-dropping spectacles — and her Flower Market installation is no exception. After stops in New York and beyond, the experience makes its long-awaited Asian debut right here in Hong Kong, tucked into a greenhouse-style pavilion on the Central Harbourfront during Art Month. It's free, it's Instagrammable, and yes, you get to take a flower home.

The Experience

Step inside and you're surrounded by over 150,000 plush flowers spanning 26 designs, each one crafted with Hendry's obsessive attention to texture and detail. The effect sits somewhere between stepping into a florist's fever dream and wandering through a very stylish soft-play zone — surreal, tactile and genuinely hard to leave. The greenhouse setting, with Victoria Harbour glinting beyond the glass, only adds to the drama.

What to Look Out For

Two pieces were made exclusively for Hong Kong and are the real highlights. The Henderson Flower marks property developer Henderson Land's 50th anniversary, while the Bauhinia — Hong Kong's beloved emblem — references the organic, petal-like form of The Henderson tower rising nearby. Both feel less like corporate commissions and more like genuine love letters to the city.

The Lowdown

When: 19–22 March 2026 (Thu–Sun)

Where: AIA Vitality Park, 33 Man Kwong Street, Central Harbourfront

Price: Free — but you must register in advance and bring your e-ticket. Each registered visitor also receives one complimentary plush flower. Additional flowers are available to purchase at HK$38 each.

Getting there: Hong Kong Station (Exit F) or Central Station (Exit A), then follow the waterfront promenade. Hard to miss.

Worth Knowing

Quotas are strict and this one will sell out fast — register the moment you can. Weekend slots will go quickest, so if you have flexibility, a weekday visit means shorter queues and more room to actually appreciate the work. Either way, build in time to wander the harbourfront before or after; paired with the Art Basel frenzy happening across the city, it makes for a pretty perfect Art Month afternoon.

Don't miss it.
